Freedom and the American way are on life support. When someone can be fined and thrown in jail for the mere act of not purchasing a Washington approved health care plan, I think we can all agree things have gone too far.
The purpose of The Ohio Project is to take this issue and others directly to the people of Ohio. But will the people of Ohio come through? The answer to that question is up to YOU. To get the job done we need a massive number of people willing to roll up their sleeves and get some signatures. That means YOU are needed.
Time is short, but this task is NOT impossible if everyone pitches in. That is why we are calling for a signature bomb the weekend of May 15th.
We are asking that every person receiving this email to set a personal goal to gather 30 signatures by Sunday, May 16th which will fill one petition packet. If everyone does this then we can be on track to meet the June 30th deadline to
Will YOU Respond?
Step 1: Make sure you are trained on signature gathering. Watch the videos and read the petition circulation instructions here.
Step 2: Get your petition packet. You can print them yourself here. If you are not able to print ask your regional or county coordinator for help or contact The Ohio Project directly.
Step 3: Gather signatures. Here are some of the ways other petition circulators are having success.
- Ask all your friends and family.
- Set up at a public event.
- Go door to door.
- Stand in front of a public place like a library, BMV, or Post Office.
- Get started early and ask co-workers during the week.
Once done turn in your signature packets. Packets should be turned in to your regional or county coordinator. Again we are asking that everyone try to fill up an entire petition packet with 30 signatures. If you are not able to do a full 30 then please turn in what you can.
