The political formula of feeding the masses “Bread and Circuses” to keep them content has been in play since the Roman Empire. Of course the Coliseum has been replaced by 300 channels of cable, reality shows, and Facebook… but the premise is the same.
As politically active patriots we understand it is often difficult to get our colleagues, neighbors, and relatives to awaken to the stark future that is racing toward us like a freight train. They are still a bit preoccupied with other matters… the Academy Awards are coming up!
I propose we must hit them in the pocketbook — not the literal pocketbook, of course, for we know government has been fleecing us for decades and it doesn’t seem to both America much. No, I suggest we show them the future in the bleakest terms possible. We show them where our Soviet-Wanna-be flirtations with Marxism will take us…. specifically in the entertainment category.
