ATTENTION ALL PATRIOTS:
To get any intiative onto the ballot as a state constitutional amendment typically requires great resources of time and money. We have NEITHER!
If the Attorney General accepts our petition we are then obligated to submit over 402,000 valid registered voter signatures by the end of June. Truthfully, this is nearly impossible. I repeat, nearly — but not definitely.
These signatures must also conform to specific percentages among the 88 counties. For the Casino initiative, I’ve been told they spent over $4 million dollars on both advertising and paid professional petitioners to get on the ballot.
The Ohio Project (theohioproject.com) is our way to save time and money. All people need to do is go to the site, enter their contact information and encourage all their friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to do the same. This will allow us to monitor how many potential signatures we have, as well as county percentages.
EXAMPLE: Once Knox County hits its 5% threshold (2,078 valid signatures) we could send out 10-15 petitioners, contact all those who registered and have them meet at a central location. This will save us time and money. If people can’t make the location, we can send peititioners directly to their homes to ensure they’re included. In other words, no more door-to-door, no more waiting outside post offices or libraries.
Once the database is filled, we will also have earned the ability to fast-track ANY legislation that fits the political profile of our petitioners bank. Those who oppose this Health Care Bill will most likely also oppose Cap-and-Tax legislation, as well as opposing the current estate tax. We, in essence can fast-track any amendment onto the ballot by re-visiting our petition bank.
Can you image the healthy fear the politicians will (finally) have of their constituents when we can control the ballot? By controlling the ballot in such a direct way we can control their pay, term limits, pensions, etc….

Do you realize the irony of that statement? Do you understand irony? Do you realize that you people are undermining not just the conservative movement but The United States of America?
Rather than try to scare the living shit out of people by painting those that disagree with you as socialist devils, maybe crack the books and figure out a way to help. Is there something unAmerican about politicians fearing the electorate body? Have both parties not screwed us into unsustainable debt – generations into the future – while simultaneously lining their pockets?
Do I understand Irony? Apparently not because there is nothing about that statement that is IRONIC regarding the people taking control of the ballot process. Please enlighten me on the subtle hues of your enriched intelligence, Randy.

Randy is a sad, scared, and confused little man. Anyway, will there more info posted about the petition – like a running tally? Also – if there’s any legal eagles on board – how does this whole process work? Is it a one-shot deal or can another attempt be made if enough sigs aren’t rec’d the first time?
