I think most Americans know there is a big problem with health care, and we would like some level of reform. But we are also sick and tired of our esteemed ‘leaders’ in Washington always presenting us with two BAD OPTIONS. No matter what the policy involves, it always seems we have to choose between the lesser of two evil outcomes. The Democrats in power would have us believe that the only two choices with healthcare are:
Option 1: The Status Quo – which could bankrupt you if you are stricken with cancer
Option 2: Socialized medicine.
Those are our only two options? Really? That’s the best you brainiacs can come up with? There’s no other way to reform our system, huh?
We realize the recent healthcare bill is not about health, but about power and special interest paybacks. It’s about paving the road to single-payer, which is a progressive euphamism for SOCIALIZED MEDICINE.
So the Columbus Tea Party has thrown its hat fully into the ring to support The Healthcare Freedom Amendment — which seeks to add an amendment to the Ohio Constitution that thwarts the government mandate forcing people to have a healthcare plan approved by Washington Bureaucrats.
We feel you should always be allowed to choose your own healthcare. You should always be allowed to choose your own doctor. You should always be allowed to choose NOT to have healthcare if you so wish to take that risk.
